It is the perfect time of year to give your wardrobe a complete makeover!
Yes, we'll admit - it is an extremely painful chore. You spend hours inside, going through everything and asking yourself; "Will I ever wear this again?" And no, there is no point saving a pleated skirt and matching 2004 edition Maurie & Eve decorated singlet (you know the ones...) even if that was your favourite outfit in year 10 because let's be honest, nobody really needs those things. Ever.
It's like saying goodbye to old lovers who you have spent alot of money on but that you no longer have feelings for. Hold onto the things that you are still in love with (not love's annoying sister, lust) - because you love them for a reason and one day you will thank yourself for holding onto them.
But in the end, after the pain and heartbreak of the farewell - the beautiful result is a wardrobe full of things you will ACTUALLY wear. Not only will you be able to see everything you own, but you will see the holes where things you need (need, want... same thing) must take place.
And this is the most exciting part of all! The shopping that must take place afterwards, both as a reward for all of your hard work and as a necessity - to buy and build the perfect wardrobe.
If you clean reallly reallllly well your wardrobe may look like this:
Now to find a Mr. Big who will build you one...
Whether you donate your clothes to charity, chuck the ones that have no hope of resurrection and even sell those pieces which you invested heavily in - you will feel a whole lot better. So don't put it off.. cleanse your wardrobe today and you will feel amazingly revitalised and ready for the summer!
