A quiet reminder

It's easy to forget how amazing Sydney really is.
Luckily we have moments like these remind us...

Dollar dollar bills

So as you know, the Aussie dollar is particularly amazing at the moment. And to make the most of it, we feel it is the ideal time to invest in overseas apparel. So, get shopping girls and boys!

We have been doing a little o'seas shopping of our own. Last week a particularly exciting delivery arrived on B's doorstep (perfect timing - the day she handed in her thesis!); at last our Forever 21 order had arrived! We were so so happy with absolutely everything we bought; our only regret was that we didn't buy more. It worked out to be super cheap, and another bonus: no-one else has the same items as us (except we bought the same skirt as each other... but it was too cute to resist! Plus now we have two colours to choose from).

B's mini black knot skirt and ruched grey number.
They are so versatile, cute and comfortable - perfect for summer

B's two skirts plus a sweet lace panelled tee

A's khaki ruched skirt plus a navy + white striped bandeau skirt (with folder over option to shorten)... which was $6 ! Ridiculous!

A's nude wedges

Also from the US - the amazing 'N' brought home an exciting array of goodies! He became a regular in Sephora and Urban Outfitters, and even stopped in at Victoria's Secret on his own accord... proving you can teach a man how to love to shop, and even be great at it

Going in on overseas orders with friends is definitely the way to do it; it cuts your shipping costs right down and you get the excitement of trying on all your goodies together. Sharing items can even be a good idea if you are hesitant about the investment or you both want the same item in the same colour

So why not help the US out by boosting their economy and investing in some of their lovely merch. You'll be helping them out whilst grabbing yourself an amazing bargain.
It's win-win.

Happy shopping!

P.S. alittany. accepts no responsibility for encouraging you to shop ;) ... we just want to spread the joy with you all! Remember to always shop within your budget, double check sizing charts and make sure you love it before clicking the delicious 'buy' button!

Spring Cleaning

It is the perfect time of year to give your wardrobe a complete makeover!

Yes, we'll admit - it is an extremely painful chore. You spend hours inside, going through everything and asking yourself; "Will I ever wear this again?" And no, there is no point saving a pleated skirt and matching 2004 edition Maurie & Eve decorated singlet (you know the ones...) even if that was your favourite outfit in year 10 because let's be honest, nobody really needs those things. Ever.

It's like saying goodbye to old lovers who you have spent alot of money on but that you no longer have feelings for. Hold onto the things that you are still in love with (not love's annoying sister, lust) - because you love them for a reason and one day you will thank yourself for holding onto them.

But in the end, after the pain and heartbreak of the farewell - the beautiful result is a wardrobe full of things you will ACTUALLY wear. Not only will you be able to see everything you own, but you will see the holes where things you need (need, want... same thing) must take place.
And this is the most exciting part of all! The shopping that must take place afterwards, both as a reward for all of your hard work and as a necessity - to buy and build the perfect wardrobe.

If you clean reallly reallllly well your wardrobe may look like this:
Now to find a Mr. Big who will build you one...

Whether you donate your clothes to charity, chuck the ones that have no hope of resurrection and even sell those pieces which you invested heavily in - you will feel a whole lot better. So don't put it off.. cleanse your wardrobe today and you will feel amazingly revitalised and ready for the summer!

Crystal coveting

They say diamonds are a girls best friend. But crystals are something we can afford so we will go with these rocks instead.
Loving the raw, edgy look of these crystals for spring/summer - they'll add colour and a hippy vibe whilst being a bit different to the usual silver/gold accessories. These babies reflect the most beautiful light and apparently have healing properties... still unsure about the last part but why the hell not

Online Shopping 101

Our darling friend has posed this momentous question...

"It's time we got me into this online shopping business! I'm untainted- let me into your world! Where do I start?...."

GREAT question Bron. We present to you our top ten favourite online stores (for realistic shopping) right now...

1. E-bay

"Find what you love in the store.... and then buy it on E-bay for half the price!" - 'n'
We found this YSL 'Arty' ring on E-bay for $150. It would be criminal NOT to buy it...

2. Forever 21

Such a huge range with so many bargains to be found. We have just done a joint order from this giant fashion house... we won't give too much away but let's just say we're excited!
These Suedette Ankle Shoes for US$24.80 are the perfect summery bootie
3. Miijo

Stalk your favourite celebs, then buy their accessories!
Low Luv By Erin Wasson Large snake hinged cuff in silver (as seen on Erin herself + in SATC2)

4. TopShop

AMAZING. Can we please have (a proper) one in Sydney already?... this is getting ridiculous!
But like many of these huge online stores on the other side of the world, we are constantly in opposite seasons. Luckily it doesn't stop us from admiring winter pieces like this gorgeous Ultimate Military Cape

5. Queen's Wardrobe

We heart this Korean store for it's designer vibe at much lower prices - notably the Chloe-esque designs and super comfy shoes. They also have a great marketing technique - they use bloggers. We would be oh so willing to participate...
These are the Lovely Wave shorts bought by 'k'; can't wait to see them on her!

6. ASOS

With it's own super cheap in-house brand plus a massive range of International designers - this is your one-stop shop for everything and anything!
This $6 staple skirt is too cheap to miss

7. My Catwalk

The latest in Australian designs - a great way to see the newest releases from designers such as Zimmerman, Ellery, Josh Goot and many other genii. Dying for this Shakuhachi Day Tripper Lace Shoulder dress for summer!

8. Off the runway

DEFINITELY worth looking at - some beautiful beautiful accessories straight from the runway. Features designs from big names like The Row, Christopher Kane, Alexander Wang,Tom Binns, & Mania Mania. This is a beauty by Mawi

9. Net-a-porter

Ok so maybe this isn't as affordable as the other sites... but it is equally fun to computer-window-shop in! All the major designers come to play here and the result is the best collection of key pieces for every season. The diffusion lines like Marc by Marc Jacobs, T by Alexander Wang and See by Chloe are probably safer to fall in love with.
You wish...Rick Owens Leather Wedge boots

10. Vintage Princess

Luscious leather bags and cuffs, like this Billie Jane Grey Handbag which is the perfect deviation from black for the warmer months!

Have we missed some of your favourite online stores? If so - let us know, so we can shop there too!

The new icon

Taylor Tomasi Hill from US Marie Claire has been causing a bit of a stir at the spring/summer shows. We can see why...love her! The world can never have enough red-haired fashion icons we say.
And she had a really amazing wedding dress....(uduh!)

Perfection!!
